Overview & who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Clubsocial Technologies Inc. (“Clubsocial”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Clubsocial mobile application, the clubsocial.ai website, and our related services (together, the “Services”).
Clubsocial is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. For any question or request about your data, contact us at info@clubsocial.ai.
“Personal information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer be linked to you; we may use and share such data freely, and if we ever re-link it to you we treat it as personal information under this policy.
Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Profile & identity: name, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, photos, and anything else you add to your profile.
- Contacts: if you grant permission, your device’s address book, used to help you and others find people you may know. You can revoke this in your device settings.
- Events & content: events you create or join, RSVPs, guest lists, posts, photos, messages, and other content you upload.
- Payments: when you buy tickets or receive payouts, our payment processors collect your card or account details. We receive transaction records and billing details, but we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications: feedback, survey responses, reports, and messages you send to support.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: how you use the Services — features used, events viewed, actions taken, and interaction timestamps.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, time-zone setting, identifiers, and crash/performance logs.
- Location: with your permission, precise device location (GPS/Bluetooth) to power nearby events and location features; approximate location may be inferred from your IP address.
2.3 AI interaction data
When you use AI features (such as assistants or AI-generated event content), we collect the prompts and inputs you provide, the outputs generated, and related interaction data. Section 5 describes how this is used.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal information (such as race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, health, or biometric data), and we do not collect information about criminal convictions or offences. Any such information you choose to include in your profile or content is shared at your own discretion.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Services: create and maintain your account, host your events and content, connect you with other members, deliver tickets, and process payments and payouts;
- Personalize your experience: recommend events, people, and content relevant to you;
- Operate and improve AI features as described in Section 5;
- Keep the platform safe: verify accounts, moderate content, detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and violations of our Terms & Conditions, and enforce our child safety standards (Section 13);
- Communicate with you: service messages, event updates, security alerts, and support responses;
- Market to you: send suggestions, promotions, and news about the Services, which you can opt out of at any time (Section 6);
- Analyze and improve: understand usage in aggregate to develop and improve features; and
- Comply with law: meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If we need to use your personal information for a purpose unrelated to those above, we will notify you and explain the basis on which we do so, and where required we will ask for your consent.
AI features & your data
Clubsocial is an AI-native platform. When you use AI features, your inputs and relevant context (such as your event details or profile basics) are processed — including by the AI infrastructure providers acting as our service providers — to generate the output you asked for.
- We may review AI interactions for safety, moderation, and quality, and use them to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services and AI features.
- Our AI service providers are contractually restricted to processing your data on our instructions.
- AI output may be inaccurate — review it before relying on it or publishing it, and avoid entering sensitive personal information (yours or anyone else’s) into AI prompts.
Your choices & controls
- Access & correction: you can view and edit your profile information in the App at any time.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from the App’s settings, which removes your account from our systems. Some data may be retained where Section 9 applies (for example, transaction records we must keep by law).
- Marketing: opt out of marketing messages via your account’s communication preferences or the unsubscribe instructions in the message. We will still send non-promotional service messages.
- Permissions: contacts, location, and push-notification access can be granted or revoked in your device settings.
- Requests: for any privacy request — including access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data — email info@clubsocial.ai. We do not charge a fee, though we may decline requests that are clearly unfounded, and we may ask for information to verify your identity before acting — a security measure to make sure data is not disclosed to someone with no right to it.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), gives you the following rights:
- Right to know: to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to. The categories we collect are described in Section 2; the purposes in Section 3; and the recipients in Section 4.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of doing so for consumers under 16.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we use sensitive information only for the purposes permitted by the CCPA.
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, email info@clubsocial.ai from the email associated with your account, or contact us through the App. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we may require proof of authorization and identity verification. We will respond within the timelines the CCPA requires. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83) also lets California residents request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing; as stated above, we do not make such disclosures.
UK & European users
If you use the Services from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we process your personal information in accordance with the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, and Clubsocial Technologies Inc. is the data controller.
8.1 Legal bases
- Contract: processing needed to provide the Services you signed up for — accounts, events, tickets, payments.
- Legitimate interests: personalization, service improvement, AI feature operation, analytics, safety, and fraud prevention — balanced against your rights and interests.
- Consent: where we ask for it — for example, contacts access, precise location, or marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by law.
8.2 Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal information; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. Exercise these rights via info@clubsocial.ai. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) — though we would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
8.3 Transfers out of the UK/EEA
Your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the applicable standard contractual clauses (and the UK addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement).
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy: generally, for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we need to retain it to comply with legal obligations (such as payment and tax records), resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect safety — including where we reasonably believe there is a prospect of a complaint or litigation, or where evidence must be preserved under Section 13.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss — including access controls that limit personal information to personnel who need it and are bound by confidentiality obligations, and careful selection of vendors. However, no transmission or storage of data is completely secure, and third parties outside our control may unlawfully intercept communications; any transmission is at your own risk. Keep your device and account credentials secure, and contact us immediately at support@clubsocial.ai if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure.
International transfers
Clubsocial is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers maintain facilities. These jurisdictions may have data-protection laws different from those of your country of residence. By using the Services, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States as described in this policy, subject to the safeguards described in Section 8 for UK/EEA users.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to anyone under 18. If you are under 18 and access the Services by misrepresenting your age, you must stop immediately. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will remove the account and delete associated data as described in Section 13.
Child safety standards
Clubsocial is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and lawful platform. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (“CSAE”), child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”), grooming, predatory behavior, trafficking, or any activity that endangers minors. These standards apply to all users, content, communications, events, profiles, media, and interactions on the Services.
13.1 Prohibited conduct
We strictly prohibit any content, behavior, communication, or activity involving CSAM or CSAE, grooming or predatory behavior toward minors, sexual solicitation involving minors, trafficking or exploitation of children, sexualized content involving minors, attempts to engage minors in sexual conversations or conduct, sharing links to exploitative content, promotion or normalization of child exploitation, impersonating minors or guardians, or any attempt to use the platform to endanger children or to circumvent our moderation and safety systems.
13.2 Age enforcement
The Services are restricted to adults (Section 12). If we become aware that a user under 18 has created an account, we may remove the account immediately, delete associated content and data, restrict future access, and take further enforcement action. We may request age verification where necessary to enforce this policy or comply with legal obligations. Attempts to misrepresent age or circumvent age restrictions may result in permanent suspension.
13.3 Reporting & safety tools
In-app tools let you report user profiles, events, messages, uploaded media, harassment, and child-safety concerns, and let you block users and restrict unwanted communication. Reports are reviewed by moderators and prioritized by severity and potential risk; we aim to review high-priority child-safety reports as quickly as reasonably possible.
13.4 Moderation & enforcement
We use a combination of automated systems, manual moderation, and user reports to identify and remove harmful content and behavior. Enforcement actions include content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, permanent bans, device or IP restrictions, preservation of evidence where legally required, and escalation to law enforcement. We reserve the right to investigate any activity that may violate these standards or applicable law.
13.5 Cooperation with authorities
We comply with applicable child-safety laws and may cooperate with law enforcement agencies, government authorities, child-protection organizations, and regulatory bodies — including reporting apparent child exploitation, preserving evidence, disclosing information in response to valid legal requests, and assisting investigations involving threats to minors.
13.6 Child-safety contact
If you believe a user, event, or piece of content may involve child exploitation or abuse, contact us immediately at support@clubsocial.ai.
Changes & contact
We keep this Privacy Policy under review and will post any updates on this page with a revised “Last updated” date; for material changes we may also notify you in the App or by message. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Questions, concerns, or requests about this policy or your data can be sent to info@clubsocial.ai. Please also see our Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the Services.
